All current and new families with children in grades Kindergarten through 12 at Redlands Christian Schools are welcome to apply (financial aid is not available to international students or students in Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten).

Yes. Financial aid recipients are required to actively participate in the SCRIP Program. Each aid award includes $25/student SCRIP matching which is released as the family earns SCRIP credit.

Financial aid recipients are also required to volunteer in the school community beyond their enhancement hours (see finance sheet for details). Each aid award includes $150/family which is released as the family volunteers an additional 10 hours within the school community.

Lastly, financial aid recipients are required to pay tuition payments via automatic deduction and must keep the financial account in good-standing.

The financial aid committee uses the recommendations from FACTS, an outsourced company. Each family submits a FACTS application and uploads tax documents directly to them. After review of all materials, FACTS makes a recommendation to our financial aid committee.

Specific reasons for requesting assistance, along with indication of special circumstances (number of children in Christian education, employment challenges, or unique financial difficulties) should be included in the FACTS aid application. The financial aid committee will review all concerns, along with each family’s desired involvement in our community and each student’s academic and behavioral records. Further, as part of the evaluation process of current families, SCRIP and volunteer participation is required, and financial accounts must be in good-standing.

Awards may be granted up to a maximum of 50 percent of the student’s annual tuition for grades Kindergarten - 12 (financial aid does not apply to yearly enrollment or student fees). 

All personal financial information is maintained by FACTS and held in the strictest confidence. Redlands Christian Schools maintains complete confidence regarding the personal information and identity of all applicants.

For new families, award notification will be emailed shortly after acceptance has been offered. For current families, the award notification is emailed before the reenrollment priority deadline. After all priority applications have been processed, award notifications for late applicants will be emailed.

By accepting the Financial Aid Award, families agree to the Conditions for Aid Allocation.

Families must reapply for financial aid each year. Adjustments in award amounts may vary with respect to need and availability of funds. Cases are reassessed annually to maintain consistent principles of stewardship in accordance with each family’s changing needs.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Late applications, submitted after the applicable priority deadline, will be considered at subsequent financial aid meetings. Late applicants run the risk of receiving award adjustments based on availability of financial assistance funds.

No. The cost of educating each child is taken into account when tuition rates are set and class sizes are determined. The cost of sending multiple children to private Christian schools is taken into consideration when assessing a family’s demonstrated need through the financial aid application.

No. All financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated need only.

No. Financial awards are grants, not loans. Financial aid recipients are required, however, to participate in the SCRIP Program and volunteer in the community.
