Meet the Staff
Mr. David Han
Director of International Student Program
Mr. Han has served RCS and Arrowhead Christian Academy upper school for nearly two decades, and has been in the position of Director of International Student Program since 2003. He loves the Lord and is proud to be a Christian Educator. He has visited China and Korea each of the past 10 years to build relationships with our students’ parents and partners. He focuses on building students’ character and helping students prepare for college.
Mrs. Christy King
Mrs. King has been a part of RCS and Arrowhead Christian Academy’s International Program for over 12 years as a host family. She began to work as Mr. Han’s assistant over 6 years ago. Mrs. King is responsible for all the international admissions and homestay placements. Mrs. King has a heart for international students and loves to see the students advance not only in their academics but also in their lives. She feels blessed to work with our international students daily and appreciates their families’ sacrifice in trusting our school for their children’s educational needs.
Mr. Nate Prior
Assistant Director of International Student Program & ESL Teacher
Mr. Prior brings over 5 years’ experience teaching and working with students in cross-cultural settings, both in the U.S. and abroad, and has worked in Christian schools for most of his teaching career. After two years of teaching English in China, he earned his teaching credential and M.S. Education from California Baptist University. Mr. Prior thoroughly enjoys teaching English learners and helping international students adapt to American culture, and he loves living in Redlands with his wife and two children.
Mrs. Laura Baker
Originally from the UK, Mrs. Baker has lived in the U.S. with her husband, a California native, since 2014. Mrs. Baker has over 10 years’ teaching experience, and has taught middle school and high school students in five different countries. Both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, including her teaching credential, were completed with honors at The University of Leeds, England. Mrs. Baker is happy to use her talents to serve the international student community at ACA.
