GRADES K-8: The new school uniform policy will be implemented beginning in the 2026-27 school year, starting August 12, 2026.

GRADES 9-12: The new school uniform policy will be implemented at the beginning of the following school year, 2027-28.

(Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten will NOT be required to wear uniforms.)

At RCS, we believe uniforms will foster a Christ-like atmosphere that maximizes learning and growth. Key goals include:

• Reducing unhealthy competition around fashion and brand comparison.
• Decreasing distractions in the classroom.
• Promoting standards consistent with school values and strengthening the RCS identity and culture.
• Enhancing campus safety and security through a sense of unity and professionalism.
• Streamlining morning routines for parents and students.
• Addressing parent frustration with the challenges of finding appropriate attire under the present dress code.

This rollout allows us to address concerns that are raised prior to a full rollout.  It also will give an opportunity for upper school student leaders to be involved in the process, giving these students greater agency in the decision making.

Lands’ End has been selected as the official provider for school uniforms.

Lands’ End was selected due to their quality products, ease of online shopping with speedy shipping, positive reviews from other schools, and good price points, which are enhanced by frequent sales (e.g., occasional 50% off sales and frequent 40% off opportunities).

No, the RCS approved uniform, has specific pieces that must be purchased through our LINK. All Lands’ End shirts and some outerwear are embroidered with the RCS logo.

There are several ways to manage the expense:

• Take advantage of Lands’ End's frequent sales and discounts.
• Utilize the exceptional RCS SCRIP match program for further discounts when purchasing through Lands' End.
• Uniforms are high quality and durable, allowing them to be handed down to siblings or friends.
• The school will start a sharing closet for secondhand uniforms.

All RCS Families can receive ONE FREE $100 Lands' End SCRIP gift card, per enrolled K-8 student, with the purchase of one $100 Lands' End SCRIP gift card by completing the steps below. (After July 1, 2026, this offer is only available for NEW families.)

Financial aid recipients can request to receive this same offer plus ONE additional $100 Lands' End SCRIP gift card, per eligible student.

1. Purchase a Lands' End SCRIP gift card from the SCRIP office. Minimum purchase of $100 is required. More info can be found HERE or Contact our SCRIP Coordinator. 
2. Complete the School Uniform Lands' End Gift Card Form which can be found in the Scrip Office or the RCS App. 
3. Please allow 2 business days to process. 
4. Once notified by the SCRIP Coordinator, your FREE Lands’ End gift card(s) can be picked up at the Scrip Office, located at the Upper School Campus. 

Yes, samples will be available at the Lower School front office so parents can assess the fit, style, quality, and materials before making a purchase. Announcing the policy now allows families ample time to plan and purchase items. SUMMER VIEWING: Please drop by during summer office hours at the Lower School Monday through Thursday from 9am-12pm. 

The uniform standards are described as clean, comfortable, and relatively casual, with a good number of choices for students. All tops and bottoms are required to be purchased through the RCS Lands’ End school store. All Lands’ End shirts and some outerwear are embroidered with the RCS logo.

No, there are no special shoe requirements beyond current safety standards already in place per the RCS Dress Code.

No, accessories are not included in the uniform requirements, allowing students the chance to individualize these items.

Outerwear is considered part of the uniform. It must be purchased either from Lands’ End or from the RCS Spirit Shop as officially branded "Eagles wear" (e.g., from an RCS athletic team or the Spirit Shop).

No, there are no special uniform expectations or "dress up" uniforms required for chapel days.

Yes, Lands’ End offers multiple choices and multiple fits to ensure that each student can find something that is comfortable and fits well for their body shape.

Every Friday unless otherwise announced, is a spirit-wear Friday.  Students can wear jeans or uniform shorts, pants, skorts or skirts with an Eagle themed shirt or a plain red or black t-shirts. 

Shorts and skirts must be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee. Altering lengths by rolling waistbands or hemming outside of this standard is prohibited.
