Greetings RCMS Family:
It was a good week at Middle School. I was encouraged in talking with other principals knowing that good things are happening here in and amongst the normal trials of Middle School. We are thankful to partner with you as your student(s) muddles through and gains skills and character that we want to be used to form them more and more like Christ.

Here is all the info you need on Fine Arts Week – brought to you by the Fine Arts Boosters!
During the week of Oct. 9th through Oct. 12th, we will hold our first ever Fine Arts Week spotlighting art, drama, chorus and band. Our schedule: Monday, Oct. 9th : Bob Ross dress up day, at RCMS only, for prizes and house points. Places 1st through 3rd will receive a prize and the judging will take place during the school day, which will be announced. Immediately after school, once set-up is complete, the Art Barn will hold a painting day in Mrs. Light’s US art room from 3pm to 4:30pm. Cost is $30 per person and you get to take home your masterpiece. Theme of the painting is “Under the Sea” which follows along with our drama play “The Little Mermaid”. This is a fundraiser, but should you need financial assistance, please reach out to faboosters@redlandschristian.org for qualification information. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Sign up for the art barn here. Limited spots are available for the Art Barn so do not delay!
Wednesday, Oct. 11th is our Spaghetti dinner fundraiser and choir concert to be held in the Nest. Dinner for choir participants will begin at 5pm, dinner will be served to the general public from 5:30-6:30pm, concert begins at 6:30pm. Tickets for dinner are $10 each including students. Tickets can be purchased at the door but to assist with planning, please purchase early via the link. Dinner service will close at 6:30pm.
Thursday, Oct. 12th is our band concert night in the Nest beginning at 6pm. Beginning at approximately 5pm, the boosters will offer cookies and coffee/tea/water for purchase prior to the concert. Concessions will close at the start of the concert.
House points will be awarded for all middle school students who participate in the following:
Monday – Bob Ross dress-up day
Tuesday through Friday – dress up as your favorite Under the Sea character. This can be a character associated with our “Little Mermaid” play. Yes, you can dress up every day if you choose to – HOUSE POINTS will be awarded! All week – search for items around the middle school campus related to the “Little Mermaid” play. Be sure to turn them in for house points.
