Upper School News

Weekly Eagle News – Upper School

Dear ACA Friends and Family,

Last week on Monday, we were privileged to have Dr. Tan from Loma Linda University present to a group of parents on the dangers of vaping. I know I learned a lot from his presentation! For those who were not able to attend, here is a resource he shared with us that I have found very useful and would encourage you to check out -

Our Academic Services team has planned an amazing college tour during the first 3 days of Spring Break 2020. As of now, we have had very little interest. I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for your Junior student to see an impressive variety of universities. Being able to make informed decisions throughout the application and admissions process is critical to future success. Click here for more info -

Some other quick reminders:

The deadline for dual credit enrollment for AP Calculus, Pre-Calculus and Bible 12 is this Friday, November 15. If you’re not sure if this is a good fit for you, contact our Academic Services team for some extra guidance.

Eagle Xperience, coming up on November 13, is a great time to invite your friends and family to check out our school. There is power in a personal invitation, and I encourage you to invite friends and family to attend this year’s Xperience. This event is for incoming 6th-12th grade students. You can find out more info by clicking this LINK.

Come join us for our fall play production, Bad Auditions by Bad Actors, the nights of November 14, 15 and 16. Tickets are $10 and are available online. You will not want to miss it!

Turkey Trotting with RCS - We welcome the entire RCS Community to trot through Redlands on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28, in support of Youth Hope. The annual Redlands Turkey Trot is a wonderful event for families to show community support and get a little exercise. One of the Race Charities is Youth Hope; a terrific organization that provides services to homeless youth in the area. The RCS community has partnered with Youth Hope in the past during service days and this is another great opportunity to show support. Although the Turkey Trot registration comes with a t-shirt, we encourage the RCS community to wear the special one we have created....and it's FREE (with race registration confirmation). Click HERE for details. You must submit your registration by Wednesday, November 13 in order to be guaranteed a RCS tee shirt.

Thank you for the part you play every day in making this school the amazing place it is.

Thanks, as always,
